Tango classes for the local teenagers are going really well. It is good to know that there is some interest in theyounger generation.

They are so full of potential, and apart from being a little shy, show excellent promise.

Teenager classes are now offered every monday during school term from 3.30 to 5pm at the Braidwood studio.

Sarah Bonnar Tango Clinic in Canberra

Talla Tango is proud to have produced Sarah Bonnar's tango clinic in Canberra in early August 2006. Sarah has come back to Australia after 18 months of living and teaching tango in Buenos Aires.

She conducted a set of 6 classes over 2 weeks for some intensive tango coaching. The classes took the form of much needed classes in body mechanics as related to tango dancing. The basics of walking, pivoting and the giro were the elements upon which she based her classes.

Sarah teaching beginner class	The classes emphasized dancing to the beat and disassociation. Repetitions of exercises rather than learning sequences was practised by participants.	Intermediate
The exercises were challenging in that one had to give up lazy habits, and think about what one was doing.		See us at the milonguita.

Talla Tango have come back from several festivals. They recently conducted workshops at Cobargo

Erika Mordek and Simon Burton at Cobargo Folk Festival

and St Albans Folk Festivals as well as performances there, and they performed as part of the Flamenco Fiesta Night at theNational Folk Festival to the music of SARS. Unfortunately they weren't thinking very fast and hence no photos! So if anyone has any photos of us performing at any of these festivals i'd sure appreciate an email.

Rachel, sculptress and avid tango dancer, has found a fab venue in which to hold a Nuevo tango practica.The Front Gallery Lyneham Shops every other Tuesday starting May 16th 6-8pm.
