No classifieds just fitness!
People around BRaidwood are being more fit than many would think. Did youknow there was a group of ladies who meet during the week to do gentle aerobic exercises? The folk ladies meet every Monday at 10am, and would welcome any newcomers. They do circle dances from eastern europe. no pertner necessary. Belly dance class has moved to Tuesdays at 10.30am. I have been away in canberra dancing about 12 hours of tango a week, and tango classes resume at the club next monday 14th at 5.45pm. LOts of new exercises for beginnners. There are still plenty of martial arts classes around canberra. Teachers are currently Matthew Hulse, David Rush and Darryl the blacksmith. They all teach a different style of martial art, but with equal enthusiasm. Then there's a pilates group at the club. I can't quite remember when they meet, but if you see Jane Ahlquist or Dianne Baker in the street they'll be able to tell you. I've been using Pilates of Dummies. It's not too bad. It has two levels of exercises; i use it to improve my tango, adn it has made a difference to my core strength, ie my tummy. The library has a couple of different pilates DVD for loan. |
